For An Audience of One

He determines our path and encircles us with His love. He has bred us for victory in the race that He has set out for each of us. He is our Eternal Creator who designed us for endurance and strengthening. He equips us with all the tools we need to train successfully for the race He has placed before us.

He stands behind you.

 He stands before you.

He is with you each step of the way.

Every true athlete knows of the commitment, sacrifices, discipline and courage it takes to compete. There are days of training and days of rest. There are days of pushing through pain and days of celebrating new accomplishments. There are days of exhaustion and days of exhilaration.

As we diligently train our bodies, our eyes and heart seem to focus more fully on the prize that awaits us. Our desire to win becomes the fuel to push ourselves farther and to run faster. For the love of the sport we train with purpose and hope.

We endure to reach our goals.

 We endure for victory.

 We endure for His glory.

May you run your race in great anticipation for the One who destined you for eternal victory. He is our audience of One, and He is with you every step of the way.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9: 24-27

From my nest to yours,

Chris

  1. “May you run your race in great anticipation for the One who destined you for eternal victory. He is our audience of One, and He is with you every step of the way.” Amen! I love this! Thank-you for this encouraging reminder of God’s faithfulness to complete His work in me.
