There is a road that one must travel to experience life at its best. This route may have many unexpected turns and unforeseen delays. You may find yourself traveling in darkness when you were expecting clear blue skies. There may be vast stretches of breathtaking scenery that invigorate and excite your soul or times of bumper-to-bumper traffic with unpleasant in your face views that completely bombard and overwhelm. Thankfully we have a Heavenly Father who not only knows every turn and bump in the road but has also provided us with a detailed map and internal GPS, the Holy Spirit, to help us navigate and stay on course.
The word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105
With hands firmly gripped on the steering wheel and our feet pressed on the accelerator fueling us forward; our eyes and minds stay focused on what is to come because life is more than a road to be traveled it is a journey in faith. When we choose to trust in the One who has laid the path before us, we become well-seasoned travelers with better perspectives on what may come ahead.
Embarking on the pathway of faith means not only knowing that the path placed before you is the exact journey YOU are meant to be on but that you can trust that the road will lead you to precisely where you are destined to be.
So enjoy the ride and embrace the journey God has placed before you because you are the only ONE who gets to experience traveling the path He has laid down for you. There will be many wonderful new discoveries and unforgettable sights along the way; each revealing a unique journey that only YOU will be able to tell and share with others.
May you choose to stay on course and follow the directions given to you by the One who has not only gone before you but also comes alongside to guide you in every direction. May the pathway you travel not only deepen your faith but also leave an eternal impression for the ones who are following close behind.
Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all the he has promised. For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away. But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved. Hebrews 10: 35-39
